The True Majesty- Update

In reference to the article "The True Majesty" I would like to provide you with an update to the news. I recently received an e-mail response from Royal Caribbean International on the subject of the replacement to their ship Majesty of The Seas after her retirement in 2016. The e-mail read as follows;  "... Royal Caribbean International has not announced any replacement for Majesty of the Seas in Miami, Florida. We kindly ask that you continue to monitor our website for announcements and updates. ..." I will continue to monitor their website, and other sources for further information on her possible replacement.

Why Choose Cruise

With so many vacation options on the market why should any one choose to take a cruise? The simple answer is the relaxation of it, the feeling of being completely free of any responsibility whatsoever. Many would argue that a cruise is the most laidback option for a vacation, with the only requirements being that you board the ship and wear at least one layer of clothes.
When you go on a vacation to the beach and rent a condo the base price might be less expensive, however the physical cost is more than on a cruise. When you go to a beach condo, you will have to carry your luggage to your room on the umpteenth floor, the go to the store and buy groceries, and spend even more money driving around a place you don’t know to go spend more money and time buying food that you will most likely throw away at the end of the vacation. With a cruise you are lying by the pool, enjoying a show or participating in port of call fun.
If the lack of the same constant beach view is keeping you from booking your cruise, we’ve got you covered. Why not book a Bahamas cruise? Five nights out of Miami, you will stop and at least two beautiful bohemian destinations with spectacular beaches, and if that’s not enough then fly into Miami the day before your cruise and soak up some pre-cruise sun on the one and only South Beach. If three stunning beach views aren’t enough then why not head up to the pool deck on-board? With nearly constant sunshine, open ocean views, and deck chairs galore, you can find anything there that you would find on your beach vacation.
As I referenced before the requirements of a cruise are less too. With a condo guess what your responsibilities are? Cook and clean! On a cruise you have people to do that for you all the way down to turn down the bed before you go to sleep every night. Choosing between the cuisine and the view could be the hardest decision you will make all day. Now tell me, how much more of a vacation could you want.

The True Majesty

Being Royal Caribbean Internationals oldest ship in use Majesty of The Seas is the true Majesty, entering in service in 1992, she will turn twenty three next year, she's been here through it all, from a golden age of cruising to an economic depression, and still continues to dazzle today.
Today she is the only Royal Caribbean vessel to homeport year round in Miami, from there she operates 3-4 night, inexpensive cruises, which are ideal to first time cruisers. She has undergone a refurbishment dry-dock in 2007 to add the new RCI innovations to her including a Johnny Rockets, The Compass Deli, and Freeze ice cream.
However, all good things must come to an end, or at least step out of the spot light. In April of 2016 Majesty of The Seas will enter a dry dock to be transferred to Pullmantur Cruises, a subsidiary company of RCI. It is assumed that she will operate under the name Pullmantur Majesty. I have contacted Royal Caribbean International about a possible replacement for Majesty of the Seas in Miami, but I have not yet received a response.
